Narrative as the starting point
A restaurant concept is more than a mood board: it is a spatial story that connects cuisine, service style, and the neighbourhood around your door. We begin every Valencia commission by defining that narrative — who the guest is, how long they stay, what they should remember — and then derive layout, material, and atmosphere decisions from it. The result is an interior direction operators can explain to staff, investors, and contractors in the same language.
From shell survey to spatial identity
Whether you hold a raw industrial unit near the port or a listed ground floor near Plaça de la Mare de Déu, we read the shell's constraints as creative assets. Ceiling height, window rhythm, and existing tile are documented before any new gesture is proposed. Concept sketches show how entry, bar, dining, and terrace relate so the first impression matches the hours that follow.
Integrated concept components
Full restaurant concepts combine dining room layout, bar morphology, material palette, lighting mood, and brand atmosphere into one coordinated package. Acoustic comfort notes and service flow diagrams are included where the brief demands them, avoiding the fragmentation that happens when specialists work from incompatible assumptions. Each component cross-references the others so your architect receives a single spatial brief rather than a folder of disconnected PDFs.
Valencia market positioning
Valencia's dining scene spans traditional cuina valenciana, international chef arrivals, and tourism-driven beach trade — and the interior must signal which game you are playing before the menu arrives. We benchmark your concept against local competition without copying it, identifying white space in your district whether that is Benicalap, Cabanyal, or the Ciutat de les Arts corridor. Positioning notes help you defend cover pricing and average spend to partners.
Programme, phases, and investment
Concept development typically runs four phases over ten to fourteen weeks: discovery, spatial strategy, integrated design boards, and presentation for stakeholders. Fees for a complete new-venue concept start at €14,500 for sub-eighty-cover sites and scale to €28,000+ for multi-room programmes with BOH layout and terrace. A phased payment schedule aligns with board delivery; travel within the Comunitat Valenciana is included.
What happens after concept
Our scope ends at concept phase by design — we prepare documentation your architect and contractor can develop into technical drawings and tenders. We remain available for design continuity during DD and site visits at day-rate basis (€680/day) if you want spatial intent protected through construction. Most clients transition to their appointed architect with our presentation pack as the authoritative interior reference.
